Although I’ve driven cars for 23 years, have my towing license and ridden horses on the road, I felt clueless on my motorbike!
It was the right choice for me, as a new rider, to push myself to become safe and confident.
It’s not just a club full of old, boring, balding men (there are some about 🤣), it’s for people who want to become safe riders on the road!

❤️🏍️ MY MOTORBIKE JOURNEY SO FAR…

⭐️31/03/2024 - CBT

Sadly, I had to make the selfless decision of putting my horse’s future and wellbeing before my own; he was put to sleep 13/05/2024 😭. This changed my whole life and I’ve been chasing fulfilment ever since. Having never ridden a motorbike, it seemed like the next best thing to horses! Theory test completed and a week later, I completed my CBT!

⭐️06/08/2024 - Passed my MOD 1 & MOD 2

Felt as though I didn’t have a clue about riding bikes! It was very different to ragging my little 125cc through the gears!

⭐️09/08/2024 - Bought my first ‘real’ motorbike
Suzuki GSX-8R!

⭐️17/08/2024 - Went to an IAM Advanced Rider free taster session

Met a top guy, with high standards (comes with being a pilot I suppose), who I was lucky enough to have allocated as my Observer. A modest fellow, with patience and good humour. ❤️
Sadly, I stopped riding for a few months over winter, as I was too cold to function. Sessions resumed in March 2025. I had a total of 8 sessions and was put forward for my test.

⭐️10/05/2025 - Police Bike Safe course

A great experience for anyone! This really helped me for my Advanced Test, which happened to be the following day!

⭐️11/05/2025 - Advanced Test - F1RSt Class pass🥹!

Met some wonderful people who encouraged me to continue my training and develop my skills further (they saw something in me 🤪). I began training for my Masters. I had 6 official sessions and some good rides out with knowledgeable people, which prepared me for my test!

⭐️11/08/2025 - Masters Test

1 hour 15 minutes of riding, using the “Motorcycle Roadcraft: the Police Rider's Handbook” methods.
I bagged a Distinction 😇!

I’ve covered 13,000 miles on my bike in 12 months!

❓What next❓

🔘Training to become an Observer.
🔘Riding abroad.
🔘Do some greenlaning and trail riding!
